Kitchen Colors

Deciding on kitchen colors can be difficult. Decide what mood you want to convey with your kitchen. Want a warm, cheery place? Choose yellow or orange. Want a spicy, exciting kitchen? Choose red. Want a natural, earthy kitchen? Choose greens and taupes. Choosing kitchen colors doesn't have to be hard. Red is exciting. Many restaurants use red because it stimulates the appetite.

Orange warms a room less dramatically than red. Orange is a friendly and welcoming color.

Yellow is bright and cheery. It is one of the most popular colors used in kitchens. Bright yellow goes well with blue. While warmer yellows go well with reds.

Blue is cool and calming and makes a good accent color for yellows and terra cotta colors. Blue suppresses appetite.

Green is cool and nature-oriented. It goes well with other colors.

White makes a room appear larger.
